Kurzfassung/Abstract
This project focuses on the analysis of the internationalisation of SMEs in the Middle East, which continues to be a tourist destination for Westerners in spite of major political and other crises (VORLAUFER 1993). The so called Helsinki School (LUOSTARINEN 1979), which offers a theoretical framework for the project, views internationalisation as a process whereby actors undergo a gradual or incremental adaptation to changing local, sectoral and global conditions.
